Ingredients
- 300 g beef steak rolls
- 150 g mushrooms
- 1 small onion
- 100 g bacon
- 2 tbsp bone broth
- 2 tbsp mustard
Method
- Lay the beef steak rolls flat and spread mustard evenly over one side of each piece.
- Lay strips of bacon over the mustard-coated surface, then roll each steak tightly and secure with kitchen twine or a toothpick.
- Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat and sear the beef olives on all sides for about 4 minutes until browned.
- Add the mushrooms and onion to the pan and cook for a further 5 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the bone broth, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 35 minutes until the beef is tender and cooked through.
- Remove the twine or toothpicks from the beef olives before serving alongside the mushrooms and pan juices.
