We made the traditional British flavors keto-compatible. A wonderful recipe featuring beef steak rolls and mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • 300 g beef steak rolls
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 100 g bacon
  • 2 tbsp bone broth
  • 2 tbsp mustard

Method

  1. Lay the beef steak rolls flat and spread mustard evenly over one side of each piece.
  2. Lay strips of bacon over the mustard-coated surface, then roll each steak tightly and secure with kitchen twine or a toothpick.
  3. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat and sear the beef olives on all sides for about 4 minutes until browned.
  4. Add the mushrooms and onion to the pan and cook for a further 5 minutes until softened.
  5. Pour in the bone broth, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 35 minutes until the beef is tender and cooked through.
  6. Remove the twine or toothpicks from the beef olives before serving alongside the mushrooms and pan juices.
