Ingredients
- 50 g Cheddar
- 100 g ham
- 50 g cornichons
- 4 pieces hard-boiled eggs
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 cup lettuce
Method
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and gently lower the eggs into the water, then simmer for 22 minutes until hard-boiled.
- While the eggs cook, slice the Cheddar into thin wedges and arrange on a serving platter with the ham.
- Drain the hard-boiled eggs and let them cool for a few minutes, then peel and halve them.
- Arrange the lettuce on the platter as a base, then distribute the egg halves, cornichons, and mustard alongside the cheese and ham.
- Serve the ploughman's lunch at room temperature with the mustard on the side for spreading or dipping.
