Ingredients

  • 150 g pork rinds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 pieces black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) to ensure it reaches the correct temperature before the pork rinds go in.
  2. Spread the 150 g of pork rinds in a single layer on a baking tray, making sure they are not overlapping for even crisping.
  3. Season the pork rinds evenly with 1 tsp of salt and the 2 pieces of black pepper, crumbled or crushed over the top.
  4. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 11 minutes, or until the scratchings are deeply golden and have puffed up with a satisfying crunch.
  5. Remove the tray from the oven and allow the pork scratchings to cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving, as they will crisp further as they cool.
