Ingredients

  • 50 g crab meat
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 50 g cayenne
  • 1 (juiced) lemon
  • 1 tbsp parsley

Method

  1. Gently warm the butter in a small saucepan over low heat for about 1 minute until melted and fragrant.
  2. Fold the crab meat into the melted butter, being careful to keep the meat in tender pieces.
  3. Season the mixture with nutmeg and cayenne, stirring gently to distribute the spices evenly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavors.
  5. Divide the potted crab between two serving vessels and garnish with parsley before serving.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving at warm room temperature with crackers or vegetables for scooping.
