  • 300 g pork belly
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 50 g ssamjang
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 2 pieces pepper

Method

  1. Slice the pork belly into thin pieces approximately 3-4 mm thick and arrange on a plate.
  2. Mince the garlic cloves finely and mix with the ssamjang in a small bowl to create a dipping sauce.
  3. Heat a Korean tabletop grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes until hot.
  4. Place the pork belly slices directly on the hot grill surface and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the edges are crispy and the meat is cooked through.
  5. Arrange the lettuce leaves and sliced pepper pieces on a serving platter alongside the cooked pork belly.
  6. Serve the grilled pork belly immediately, allowing diners to wrap pieces in lettuce leaves and dip in the garlic ssamjang mixture.
