- 300 g beef steak
- 150 g mushrooms
- 1 small onion
- 2 tbsp bone broth
- 30 g almond flour cover
Method
- Slice the beef steak into bite-sized chunks and quarter the mushrooms, setting both aside ready for assembly.
- Layer the beef steak pieces and mushrooms evenly into individual pie dishes or a single medium baking dish.
- Pour the bone broth over the beef steak and mushrooms, ensuring the base of the dish is lightly moistened.
- Mix the almond flour with a small amount of water to form a pliable dough, then press or roll it out to fit the top of the dish as a crust.
- Crimp the almond flour crust firmly around the edges of the dish to seal in the filling.
- Place the pie in a preheated oven at 180 C and bake for approximately 25 minutes until the almond flour crust is golden and firm to the touch.
- Allow the pie to rest for 5 minutes before serving to let the filling settle.
