Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium Onion, grated and squeezed
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 1 large Egg

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Knead for 3-4 minutes until well combined.
  2. Shape into oval patties about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Serve with grilled tomatoes, peppers, and a squeeze of lemon.
