Ingredients
- 300 g lamb
- 50 g lentils (small portion)
- 1 small onion
- 2 medium tomato
- 2 pieces pepper
Method
- Combine the lamb with finely grated onion in a bowl, season well, and shape the mixture into small, evenly sized meatballs using your hands.
- Dice the tomatoes and peppers into small pieces and set them aside to prepare the soup base.
- In a medium pot over medium-high heat, sauté the diced tomatoes and peppers for about 4 minutes until they begin to soften and release their juices.
- Add enough water to the pot to create a broth, bring to a boil, then gently drop in the lamb meatballs and the lentils.
- Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook the soup for approximately 22 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the lentils are tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before ladling the soup into bowls and serving hot.
