Ingredients

  • 300 g lamb
  • 50 g lentils (small portion)
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 2 pieces pepper

Method

  1. Combine the lamb with finely grated onion in a bowl, season well, and shape the mixture into small, evenly sized meatballs using your hands.
  2. Dice the tomatoes and peppers into small pieces and set them aside to prepare the soup base.
  3. In a medium pot over medium-high heat, sauté the diced tomatoes and peppers for about 4 minutes until they begin to soften and release their juices.
  4. Add enough water to the pot to create a broth, bring to a boil, then gently drop in the lamb meatballs and the lentils.
  5. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook the soup for approximately 22 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the lentils are tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning before ladling the soup into bowls and serving hot.
