Ingredients

  • 300 g lamb cubes
  • 2 pieces long green peppers
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a wide, heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat until it begins to foam.
  2. Add the lamb cubes in a single layer and sear for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until deeply browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the long green peppers and cook for 5 minutes until they begin to soften and blister slightly at the edges.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan, reduce the heat to medium, and stir everything together to combine the juices with the lamb.
  5. Season the mixture to taste, cover the pan, and simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes until the lamb is tender and the sauce has thickened.
