Ingredients
- 300 g beef strips
- 60 g yogurt
- 2 medium tomato sauce
- 200 g fried zucchini
Method
- Heat a heavy skillet or cast iron pan over high heat until very hot, then sear the beef strips for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to medium and pour the tomato sauce over the beef strips, stirring to coat evenly and simmering for 5 to 7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- While the beef and tomato sauce simmer, warm the fried zucchini in a separate pan over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through.
- Arrange the fried zucchini as a base on a serving plate, then spoon the beef strips and tomato sauce over the top.
- Dollop the yogurt generously over the beef and tomato sauce just before serving, allowing the cool yogurt to contrast with the hot kebab in the traditional Turkish style.
