Ingredients

  • 50 g grape leaves
  • 150 g ground meat
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tbsp mint
  • 1 tsp spices

Method

  1. Lay the grape leaves flat on a clean surface and pat them dry if they are packed in brine.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, finely chopped onion, parsley, mint, and spices, mixing thoroughly until the filling is evenly seasoned.
  3. Place a small portion of the meat mixture at the base of each grape leaf, fold in the sides, and roll tightly into a compact cylinder.
  4. Arrange the stuffed grape leaves seam-side down in a snug single layer in a wide pan, adding just enough water to barely cover the bottom.
  5. Cover the pan and cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, until the meat is fully cooked through and the grape leaves are tender.
  6. Transfer the stuffed grape leaves to a serving plate and garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
