Ingredients
- 300 g beef cubes
- 2 pieces pepper
- 2 medium tomato
- 150 g mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic
- 60 g mozzarella topping
Method
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) for 5 minutes while preparing the ingredients.
- Place the beef cubes in a heavy-bottomed oven-safe pot and sear over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Add the diced tomatoes, sliced peppers, and quartered mushrooms to the pot with the beef, stirring to combine.
- Cover the pot with a lid and braise in the preheated oven for 35 minutes until the beef is tender and the vegetables are softened.
- Remove the pot from the oven and sprinkle the mozzarella topping evenly over the braised beef and vegetables.
- Return the uncovered pot to the oven for 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and begins to brown lightly.
- Serve the oven-braised beef directly from the pot while hot.
