Ingredients
- 200 g zucchini
- 300 g ground meat
- 2 medium tomato sauce
- 60 g mozzarella
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp parsley
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and slice the zucchini lengthwise into thin planks, then arrange them in a single layer in a baking dish.
- Press the garlic cloves and combine them with the ground meat, mixing thoroughly until the aromatics are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- Spread the ground meat mixture over the zucchini planks, then spoon the tomato sauce generously on top to cover the meat layer.
- Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes until the meat is cooked through and the zucchini is tender.
- Remove the dish from the oven, scatter the mozzarella evenly over the top, and return it to the oven for a further 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Finish by sprinkling freshly chopped parsley over the dish before serving hot.
