Ingredients

  • 300 g meatballs
  • 300 g cauliflower purée
  • 2 medium tomato sauce

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and allow it to reach full temperature before assembling the dish.
  2. Spread the cauliflower purée evenly across the base of a medium oven-safe baking dish to form a smooth, thick layer.
  3. Nestle the meatballs into the cauliflower purée, pressing them gently so they are partially embedded but still visible on top.
  4. Spoon the tomato sauce generously over the meatballs and cauliflower purée, ensuring even coverage across the dish.
  5. Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 37 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the tomato sauce is bubbling at the edges.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest for 2 minutes before serving hot directly from the baking dish.
