Ingredients
- 150 g mushrooms
- 100 ml heavy cream
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp thyme
Method
- Clean the mushrooms and slice them into uniform pieces.
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the pot and sauté for 5 minutes until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
- Pour in enough water to cover the mushrooms by about 2 inches, then add the thyme and simmer for 8 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and continue simmering for 3 minutes until the soup reaches a creamy consistency.
- Season the soup to taste and serve hot.
