Ingredients

  • 1 cup swiss chard
  • 300 g ground meat
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp spices
  • 2 medium tomato sauce

Method

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground meat for 5-6 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks until no pink remains.
  2. Stir in the spices and tomato sauce, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer the filling for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. While the filling cooks, carefully separate the swiss chard leaves and lay them flat on a clean surface to use as wrappers.
  4. Spoon an even portion of the seasoned meat filling onto the center of each swiss chard leaf.
  5. Fold the sides of each swiss chard leaf inward and roll firmly from the base to the tip to secure the filling inside.
  6. Arrange the wraps seam-side down on a serving plate and let them rest for 1-2 minutes before serving.
