Ingredients

  • 300 g beef cubes
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 2 pieces pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 leaves bay leaf

Method

  1. Cut the tomatoes and peppers into medium chunks and set aside along with the peeled garlic cloves, sliced onion, and bay leaves.
  2. Place the beef cubes in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat and sear them for about 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, and bay leaves to the pot, stirring to combine everything with the browned beef.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and allow the kebab to simmer gently for 35 minutes until the beef is tender and the vegetables have melted into a rich sauce.
  5. Remove the bay leaves before serving and adjust seasoning to taste.
