Braised Meat with Pickles

Ingredients
- 300 g beef cubes
- 2 pieces pickled peppers
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 pieces red pepper flakes
Method
- Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it begins to foam.
- Add the beef cubes to the pan and sear them on all sides for approximately 5 minutes until a deep brown crust forms.
- Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the pan along with the red pepper flakes, stirring to coat the beef and allow the aromatics to bloom for 2 minutes.
- Slice the pickled peppers and add them to the pan, then reduce the heat to low and pour in just enough of the pickling brine to partially submerge the beef.
- Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and braise the beef over low heat for 25 minutes, turning the cubes halfway through, until the meat is tender and the liquid has reduced to a rich sauce.
