Ingredients
- 300 g chicken
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ginger
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 (juiced) lemon
- 2 tbsp bone broth
Method
- Place the chicken in a medium pot, cover with enough water to submerge it fully, and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the turmeric, ginger, and minced garlic, allowing the spices to bloom directly into the broth for 2 minutes.
- Add the bone broth to the pot and let the soup simmer uncovered over low heat for 25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.
- Remove the chicken, shred it into bite-sized pieces using two forks, then return it to the pot.
- Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the soup, stir well, and simmer for a final 5 minutes to meld all the flavors.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before ladling the soup into bowls and serving hot.
