Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 (juiced) lemon
  • 2 tbsp bone broth

Method

  1. Place the chicken in a medium pot, cover with enough water to submerge it fully, and bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the turmeric, ginger, and minced garlic, allowing the spices to bloom directly into the broth for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the bone broth to the pot and let the soup simmer uncovered over low heat for 25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken, shred it into bite-sized pieces using two forks, then return it to the pot.
  5. Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the soup, stir well, and simmer for a final 5 minutes to meld all the flavors.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning before ladling the soup into bowls and serving hot.
