Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Full-fat coconut milk (from a can)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp Ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • pinch Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Powdered allulose
  • 1 tsp Coconut oil or ghee
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract

Method

  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Bring slowly to a gentle simmer — don't boil — whisking constantly so the spices don't sit on the bottom.
  3. Simmer 3-5 minutes until the color deepens to a rich orange-gold and the kitchen smells fragrant.
  4. Pour into a blender and pulse for 10 seconds to froth (or use a milk frother in the saucepan).
  5. Pour into a warm mug and dust with extra cinnamon. Best sipped slowly before bed.
