Ingredients

  • 1 tsp (2g) Ceremonial-grade matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Hot water (175°F / 80°C)
  • 3/4 cup (175ml) Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp Powdered allulose
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Ice cubes

Method

  1. Sift the matcha into a small bowl to break up clumps.
  2. Pour in the hot water and whisk in a quick zig-zag motion (or use a bamboo chasen) for 20 seconds until a creamy green foam forms on top.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  4. Stir the allulose and vanilla into the almond milk, then pour over the ice.
  5. Slowly pour the matcha over the milk for the layered ombré effect, then stir before drinking.
