Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (175ml) Water
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Heavy cream
- 1 tea bag (or 1 tsp loose) Black tea (Assam or English Breakfast)
- 3 Green cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 small Cinnamon stick
- 2 Whole cloves
- 1/4-inch slice Fresh ginger, sliced
- 2 Black peppercorns
- 1 tbsp Powdered allulose
Method
- Combine the water, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and peppercorns in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes to bloom the spices.
- Add the tea bag and simmer 1 minute more.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring back to a low simmer — don't boil hard or the cream can split.
- Stir in the allulose and simmer 2-3 minutes for the flavors to marry.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug and serve hot.
