Ingredients

  • 300 g beef brisket
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp spice mix
  • 2 tbsp butter

Method

  1. Rub the 300 g of beef brisket thoroughly with 1 tsp of spice mix, pressing the seasoning firmly into all surfaces to form an even crust.
  2. Place the seasoned brisket in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) and cook for approximately 30 minutes until the meat is tender and the exterior begins to develop a dark bark.
  3. Remove the brisket from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes, then cut it into roughly 2.5 cm cubes.
  4. Toss the brisket cubes with 2 tbsp of sugar-free BBQ sauce and 2 tbsp of butter until each piece is evenly coated.
  5. Return the coated cubes to the oven and roast at 200°C (400°F) for a further 10 minutes until the sauce caramelizes and the edges of the meat turn sticky and deeply charred.
