Ingredients

  • 300 g salmon
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 pieces black pepper
  • 2 tbsp mustard sauce

Method

  1. Lay the salmon fillet skin-side down on a large sheet of plastic wrap.
  2. Combine the salt and crushed black pepper in a small bowl, then rub the mixture evenly over the flesh side of the salmon.
  3. Press the dill firmly onto the seasoned surface of the salmon, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Wrap the salmon tightly in the plastic wrap, place it on a tray, and refrigerate for at least 25 minutes to allow the cure to penetrate the flesh.
  5. Unwrap the cured salmon and gently scrape away any excess seasoning with a knife.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the gravlax thinly at a diagonal angle into delicate, even pieces.
  7. Arrange the sliced gravlax on a serving plate and serve with mustard sauce on the side.
