- 300 g salmon
- 1 tbsp dill
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 pieces black pepper
- 2 tbsp mustard sauce
Method
- Lay the salmon fillet skin-side down on a large sheet of plastic wrap.
- Combine the salt and crushed black pepper in a small bowl, then rub the mixture evenly over the flesh side of the salmon.
- Press the dill firmly onto the seasoned surface of the salmon, ensuring even coverage.
- Wrap the salmon tightly in the plastic wrap, place it on a tray, and refrigerate for at least 25 minutes to allow the cure to penetrate the flesh.
- Unwrap the cured salmon and gently scrape away any excess seasoning with a knife.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the gravlax thinly at a diagonal angle into delicate, even pieces.
- Arrange the sliced gravlax on a serving plate and serve with mustard sauce on the side.
