Ingredients

  • 300 g lamb
  • 50 g lentils (small portion)
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 (juiced) lemon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

Method

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat, add the lamb cut into small cubes, and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
  2. Add the chopped onion, turmeric, and coriander to the pot and stir for 2 minutes until the spices coat the lamb and become fragrant.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes and 50 g of lentils, stirring to combine all ingredients into a unified base.
  4. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients by about 5 cm, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until the lentils are tender and the lamb is cooked through.
  5. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the soup, stir well, and adjust seasoning before serving hot.
