Ingredients
- 200 g shrimp paste
- 30 g almond flour bread
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp ginger
- 3 cloves garlic
Method
- Spread the shrimp paste evenly and generously over each slice of almond flour bread, pressing it firmly so it adheres to the surface.
- Mix the ginger and garlic into the shrimp paste layer, distributing them evenly across all slices.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the shrimp paste-topped bread slices, pressing them lightly so they embed into the paste.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat and shallow-fry the prawn toast paste-side down for approximately 4-5 minutes until the shrimp paste is golden and cooked through.
- Flip the slices carefully and fry the almond flour bread side for a further 2-3 minutes until crisp and lightly browned.
- Remove the prawn toast from the pan, drain briefly on paper towel, and serve immediately while hot and crisp.
