Ingredients

  • 100 g tuna
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 50 g wasabi mayo

Method

  1. Slice the tuna into thin, even pieces approximately half a centimeter thick, using a sharp knife with smooth, single strokes to preserve the delicate texture of the fish.
  2. Arrange the tuna slices in a single layer and marinate them in soy sauce for 10 minutes, turning once halfway through to ensure even absorption.
  3. While the tuna marinates, halve the avocado, remove the pit, and slice the flesh into thin, clean strips directly from the skin.
  4. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, moving them constantly until golden and fragrant, then set aside to cool.
  5. Plate the marinated tuna slices alongside the avocado strips, drizzle any remaining soy sauce marinade over the arrangement, and finish with a generous dollop of wasabi mayo and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
