Ingredients

  • 200 g fried zucchini
  • 150 g ground meat
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 piece lime

Method

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the ground meat for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned and any moisture has evaporated.
  2. While the meat cooks, slice the zucchini into rounds about 1 cm thick and fry them in hot oil for 3 minutes per side until golden and slightly crisp, mimicking the texture of traditional tostones.
  3. Crush the garlic cloves and stir them into the browned ground meat, cooking for a further 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, and mash the flesh with a squeeze of lime juice until smooth to create a creamy topping.
  5. Arrange the fried zucchini rounds on a serving plate, top each piece with a spoonful of the seasoned ground meat, and finish with a dollop of the lime avocado mash.
