Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken
  • 2 tbsp zhug sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 (juiced) lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Crush the garlic cloves and combine them with the zhug sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated, and allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and brush lightly with a small amount of olive oil.
  4. Place the marinated chicken into the hot pan and cook for 13 minutes on the first side without moving it, allowing a proper sear to develop.
  5. Flip the chicken and cook for a further 13 minutes on the second side until cooked through with no pink remaining in the center.
  6. Remove the chicken from the heat and drizzle any remaining zhug sauce over the top before serving.
