Ingredients

  • 4 strips Thick-cut bacon
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Butter (if pan runs dry)
  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Method

  1. Lay bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook 6-8 minutes, flipping once, until deeply crisp.
  2. Transfer bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate. Drain off all but 1 tbsp of fat.
  3. Crack the eggs into the hot fat. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook 2-3 minutes until whites are fully set and yolks remain runny. Add butter if the pan looks dry.
  5. Slide eggs and bacon onto a plate; serve immediately.
