Ingredients
- 4 lbs (1.8kg) Pork shoulder (boneless)
- 2 tbsp Hawaiian sea salt (or coarse sea salt)
- 1 tbsp Liquid smoke
Method
- Pat the pork shoulder dry. Pierce all over with a fork.
- Rub salt all over, then drizzle with liquid smoke and rub it in.
- Place fat-side up in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until fork-tender.
- Transfer pork to a board and shred with two forks. Skim fat from the cooker juices and toss the meat with a few tablespoons of the juices to moisten.
- Serve over cabbage or cauliflower rice.
