Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Sugar-free caramel syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup (175ml) Unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Heavy cream
  • 2 shots (60ml) Hot espresso (or strong coffee)
  • 1 tsp Sugar-free caramel for drizzling
  • 1 cup Ice cubes

Method

  1. Drizzle the sugar-free caramel and a pinch of cinnamon into the bottom of a tall clear glass.
  2. Stir the almond milk, cream, and remaining cinnamon together, then pour over the caramel.
  3. Add ice cubes — fill nearly to the rim.
  4. Brew the espresso and slowly pour it over the back of a spoon onto the iced milk, so it sits on top in dark streaks.
  5. Drizzle the extra caramel over the top in a zigzag. Stir before drinking for the full macchiato effect.
