Ingredients
- 2 slices Almond flour bread (with caraway)
- 5 oz (140g) Ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/3 cup Yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 slices (56g) Swiss cheese
- 1.5 tbsp Butter
- to taste Salt and black pepper
Method
- Melt 1/2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium. Caramelize onion 8-10 minutes until deeply golden; set aside.
- Form beef into a thin patty wider than the bread. Sear 2 minutes per side over high heat; season with salt and pepper.
- Layer one slice with swiss, onion, patty, more swiss, then top slice.
- Wipe skillet, melt remaining butter, and griddle sandwich 2 minutes per side until crisp and cheese melts.
- Slice on the diagonal and serve hot.
