Ingredients

  • 4 lbs (1.8kg) Pork shoulder (bone-in)
  • 2 tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Mix all spices to make a dry rub. Coat pork shoulder on all sides.
  2. Place pork in the slow cooker. Add broth and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Cook on LOW 8 hours or HIGH 4 hours until fork-tender.
  4. Shred meat with two forks, discarding bone and excess fat.
  5. Toss shredded pork in the juices. Serve in lettuce wraps or over cauliflower rice.
