Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) Ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 American cheese slices
  • 4 large Butter lettuce leaves
  • 8 Dill pickle slices
  • 4 Onion, thin slices
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Divide beef into 4 balls (2 oz each). Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place on a screaming hot cast iron skillet. Immediately smash flat with a spatula.
  3. Cook 2 minutes until edges are deeply browned and crispy.
  4. Flip, add cheese. Cook 1 minute.
  5. Stack 2 patties per burger on lettuce leaves. Add pickles and onion.
