Ingredients

  • 600g Beef round roast
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 small (small amount) Carrot
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 pieces Bay leaves
  • 1/2 head Cauliflower (for mash)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Sear the meat on all sides.
  2. Add onion and carrot, saute for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add bay leaves and a little water, cover with a lid.
  4. Cook on low heat for 1 hour (30 min in a pressure cooker).
  5. Boil cauliflower and mash with butter. Serve alongside the roast.
