Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (160g) Full-fat plain Turkish or Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup (80ml) Cold water
- 1/4 tsp Fine sea salt
- pinch Dried mint (optional)
- 3-4 Ice cubes
Method
- Add the yogurt, cold water, and salt to a tall glass or blender.
- Whisk hard for 30 seconds (or pulse in the blender for 10 seconds) until completely smooth and a layer of foam forms on top.
- Taste and adjust salt — Turkish ayran is meant to be properly salty, not just a hint.
- Drop in the ice cubes.
- Sprinkle with dried mint if using and serve immediately.
